Sarah Adams - Cover Art Created For Mythic Island Press

Sarah Adams is a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.

As is becoming the norm with our cover projects, I pasted together a cover concept for Hepen the Watcher using borrowed images. After lots of back-and-forth, Sarah created this beautiful and detailed digital painting. My only frustration is that the details don't show up online as well as I'd hoped, except in the largest renditions (click through to see what I mean).

After some consideration, I decided I wanted to re-package The Dread Hammer, so I gave Sarah a new cover concept to work with, and this beautiful digital painting was the result. The art was done entirely in Photoshop and is used on both the ebook and print versions.

For Skye Object 3270a Sarah created a digital painting of the title character. She combined this with pre-selected background and decorative elements and then selected a complimentary font, before puting a final polish on the whole thing. This cover is used on both the ebook and print versions.

This digital landscape painting was originally intended as merely the background of a larger, wrap-around book cover. But a decision was made to scale back the production of this book, and the painting was never completed. Still, I love the haunting beauty of this scene, and I think it makes a fine ebook cover all on its own.
